Haiti

USAID/Haiti requested CapacityPlus’s assistance as part of a broader effort to support provision of essential services to orphans and vulnerable children. This work included preparing an initial assessment of the status of the current social service workforce and assisting in developing a strategy to help the government and Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (MAST) move forward in codifying and strengthening the social service workforce so workers are better able to provide protection services for children and families. As part of this effort, the project provided tools to aid the government in identifying numbers, cadres, skills, and geographical location of social service staff employed by MAST, the Ministry of Public Health and Population, and the Family Tracing and Reunification Agents.
